Malden Electronics, a UK company founded
in 1976, has designed and manufactured speech measuring instruments
since 1984. The initial speech voltmeters have been developed into
sophisticated measuring instruments employing speech as the test
media. Since 1999 the company has focused exclusively on the research
and development of techniques for Speech Transmission Performance
measurement, utilising a number of different metrics, most recently
ITU-T Rec. P.862/P.862.1/P.862.2 PESQ.
The Digital Speech Level
Analyser (DSLA), launched in 1997, and DSLAII, launched in February
2004 offers the highest quality analogue interfaces to any network
terminating equipment and an excellent solution for end to end tests.
The Speech Performance Analyser software suite has found application
in test laboratories and with test equipment manufacturers around
the world. Recently, the MultiDSLA system has brought multiple SIP,
H.323 as well as DSLA endpoints together to create a powerful ,
scalable, voice network test environment for the determination of
Quality of Experience.
